ATH: Tivy soccer woes and cheers

The Tivy boys soccer team fell to Alamo Heights 2-0 Tuesday in what has to be the Antlers' toughest rivalry over the 19 years of the team's existence. That didn't exactly knock them out of the playoffs in this drastic rebuilding year (thanks to a Fredericksburg loss as well), but does mean than in a head to head matchup with the Billies this weekend they have to win to take the final playoff berth.

Meanwhile the girls clinched third place with a 2-2 tie with Heights to guarantee their every-year-in-existence playoff streak is intact. They also are in rebuilding mode and having finished third in a tougher district is quite an accomplishment.
