ENV: Unbelievable Day for Texas Odes

First, we get a post from Greg Lasley that Dennis Paulson on the tail end of his extended Texas trip located a new U.S. species at Santa Ana NWR -- Anax concolor, which he found flying with Comet Darner (Anax longipes), which itself will be a new LRGV record.

Greg posted pics of the newbie here.

THEN, Martin Reid, reporting from his second home at the Halff Brothers Ranch in Frio County, reports giant range extensions for Antillean Saddlebags (Tramea insularis) and Amelia's Threadtail (Neoneura ameliae).

Martin has pics here.

Both had a number of other really good finds that oddly pale by these big discoveries -- congrats to both!
