Choosing, which i'm not sure i agree with but is stimulating to think about, from Slate via Red State Rabble

This from Grits for Breakfast, with congrats to Byron . . .

The Tyson Organization is proud to welcome Byron LaMasters to the
team.

Byron graduated from the University of Texas in May of 2005 with a BA
in Government and History. At UT, he served as the President of the University
Democrats during the 2002 election cycle; under his leadership, the UDs were
awarded the “Swing Out” award for best campus political organization. In the
summer of 2002, Byron also volunteered for the Texas Coordinated Campaign’s
field operation in Austin.

Byron founded the web log BurntOrangeReport.com , and in 2004, he was
credentialed by the DNC to cover the Democratic National Convention. Byron
currently serves as the Vice President of Finance for the Texas Young
Democrats.

And penultimately, there are a heartbreaking couple of stories about a dog named Zeke and the family that loves him. . . at Creek Running North
