Cool stuff from some folks we know:

Thomas Boydston got a new Nikon at Christmas and a new zoom lens, (and, update, a remote trigger!) and will be posting his photos soon at -- you can check out his layout there already -- photos coming soon. He used to blog his photos, and i can't wait to see what he puts up in his gallery.

According to Carol Priour, Jonah had a fantastic opening night in Chicago. If you happen to be in the Boston area this weekend, you might check out the show at Agassiz Theatre. Here's the details.

Travis Salzillo wrote to say he's been involved in baseball and some other projects.

Talk around the office is that Rob Frazer will be the July PD after several years away getting married and pursuing life in the Real World. It will be mighty fine to have him back.

Vehicular has a new website up at that features their new regular gig at Red Fez. Check 'em out.

More bad news for Tivy Soccer. From the Kerrville Daily Times:

A Scott Morgan penalty kick goal with 11:19 left in the game gave Boerne a 3-2 District 28-4A victory over the Antlers Friday night at Antler Stadium, clinching the district title for the Greyhounds at 7-0-1. The loss put Tivy in a precarious position for postseason hopes at 2-4-2, and one the team believes it shouldn’t be in.

Boerne and Alamo Height had locked playoff berths as of Friday. With Tivy a game back of Fredericksburg and Bandera entering Friday’s play, Swonke’s team now has a clear picture of what it must do with games left Tuesday at Heights and March 17 against Fredericksburg.“We need to win out,” Swonke said. “It’s a tight district, things can happen. But we need to win out.”

The Boerne Lady Greyhounds defeated the Tivy Lady Antlers 4-1 Friday night in District 28-4A soccer play, but the Lady Antlers still control their own playoff destiny.Amanda Brock kicked the lone goal for Tivy, with an assist from Newly Gramatikakis. The loss left the Lady Antlers at 3-4-1 in district play with games remaining against Alamo heights Tuesday at Antler Stadium, and March 17 at Fredericksburg. The Lady Antlers need just one victory in their remaining two games to clinch a 28-4A playoff berth, or can secure the berth via tiebreakers with losses depending on the Fredericksburg outcomes.

Crane flies had a major emergence today. Fair warning to those of you who are afraid of the things!
